I found Hotel Residence Mahmoud to be a little gem in Hammamet, offering surprisingly good value for a budget stay. The location was convenient for exploring the area, though the food options were somewhat limited. Overall, I enjoyed the traditional feel of the hotel and appreciated its clean and spacious rooms, even if some aspects could use a little updating.

The hotel is well-located, about a 30-minute walk from Hammamet's city center, though I needed a taxi to get to the beach.

The swimming pool was clean, and drinks were served poolside, but the service could be a bit slow especially on busy days.

While the pool area had potential, it wasn't very clean, and I couldn't really enjoy it as much as I'd hoped.

I found Hotel Residence Mahmoud to be a mixed bag. The location is good for exploring Hammamet and offers a quaint charm, but the noise from the bar below can be disruptive. While the staff were generally friendly and accommodating, the dining experience fell short of expectations. Overall, it's a decent place if you're seeking affordability but keep your expectations in check.

Hotel Residence Mahmoud serves as a decent base for my explorations in Hammamet, despite a few shortcomings. The location is great for accessing local attractions, and the rooms are spacious and clean. yet the dining options left much to be desired, especially given the limited breakfast selection and repetitive dinner choices.
